If you’ve never heard of pelvic floor physical therapy before, you’re not alone. Many women are told their symptoms are “normal,” “just part of aging,” or “something to live with.”
At UpLift, we believe in changing that narrative. Pelvic floor therapy isn’t a last resort – it’s a first-line, evidence-based treatment that helps women heal fully and naturally, often avoiding surgery or medication altogether.

I started seeing UpLift PT following my most recent hip surgery. I was getting very frustrated with standard physical therapy and suspected I needed more specific treatment to address the physical dysfunction. After just 2 visits, I am noticing significant improvement! I’m confident that I will continue to make progress with her.

Absolutely. Many of our clients seeking pelvic floor physical therapy for women in San Antonio have never had children. If you’re experiencing pelvic pain, leaking, or core weakness, our specialized women’s pelvic floor PT can help you get strong and pain-free again.
100% we can help you. We work with people of all activity levels and ages. We believe that everyone can benefit from movement.
While the internal exam/manual therapy can tell us a lot about your pelvic floor muscles, our therapists have plenty of knowledge, exercises, and other tools we can use to help if internal work is not a good option for you. We value informed consent first and foremost, and you, the patient, are always in control!
After a thorough explanation & getting your consent, the exam/treatment can be completed either vaginally or rectally. Our goals with either are to assess for muscle tension, coordination/function, and any asymmetries. This is not your typical GYNO exam! We don’t use a speculum or stirrups. It involves the use of 1 gloved, lubricated finger(s) that aims to be non-painful as we talk you through the entirety of what we are doing & more importantly, get your feedback on how it is feeling! Your perception of the feeling of pressure on the muscle(s) gives us information about where the issue may be coming from (nerves, muscle, other soft tissues, etc).
Yes — your period won’t stop you from receiving effective care. Our San Antonio physical therapists are experienced and respectful. If internal pelvic floor work isn’t ideal during your cycle, we’ll focus on other effective pelvic floor therapy exercises for women to continue your progress.
Yes! We provide dry needling when appropriate for you. At no additional cost!
Yes! We are open as early at 7am and as late as 7 pm!
Absolutely. All of our therapists are female, licensed, and highly trained in both pelvic health and orthopedic rehab. If you’re looking for a female pelvic floor therapist in San Antonio, you’re in the right place.
No referral is needed! Texas allows direct access to pelvic floor physical therapy, which means you can start your treatment right away at our San Antonio clinic. This saves time and helps you start healing faster.
The number of sessions varies based on your symptoms, goals, and progress. Most of our pelvic floor physical therapy clients in San Antonio start seeing results within a few sessions, but more complex conditions may require a longer plan of care.
